Best time of year to visit Tuscany

April to May and September to October are the best time to visit Tuscany. A trip during late spring and early autumn can be a fantastic experience for a bunch reasons such as thinner crowds, comfortable temperatures, and moderate prices. Not to mention a chance of witnessing wild poppies bloom in early May or grape harvest in September. Warm weather from June to early September attracts tonnes of tourists and sunbathers to the Tyrrhenian coast. Summer is the most expensive period with many local services heading for vacations in August. Low season from November to March can be described in two words—cold and rainy. However, fewer tourists, migrant birds, and great ski days at Abetone are worth a winter trip to Tuscany.
