Palatine, a northwestern residential suburb of Chicago, is known for its vibrant 4th of July Celebration. Palatine Jaycees Hometown Fest runs during the 4th of July Weekend. It features carnival rides, arts and crafts, a business expo, as well as plenty of entertainment and food.
Hometown Fest Parade is one of the biggest 4th of July processions in the area with local businesses, non-profits, clubs, teams, or other organizations participating.
The culmination of the Hometown Fest occurs on July 4th. It's the Family Day at Palatine Community Park. From noon to 5 pm, attendees can enjoy exciting carnival rides, games, competitions, and refreshments. The entertainment program includes live bands and various family-friendly activities. Beer, wine, and hard seltzers are available for adults. After dusk, the festival reaches its grand finale with the Red, White and Boom fireworks show!
