Best time of year to visit Oregon
June to August—the warmest and driest period of the year—is the best time to visit Oregon. The Beaver State welcomes tourists to numerous events like the Oregon Jamboree, the World Naked Bike Ride, and more. The pleasant summer weather also makes this the perfect time to explore the cascading waters of Ramona, Toketee, or Proxy Falls. The fall months are comfortable, too. Outdoor events such as the West Coast Giant Pumpkin Regatta, or the Shrewsbury Renaissance Faire, should definitely be on your bucket list. November can bring the first snow and cooler temps to Oregon, so you'd better pack a warm jacket, gloves, and a hat. December through February is the low season, but it is also a nice time for skiers and Christmas-light display fans. It can still be possible to hit the slopes from March to May, but the ski season will eventually give way to hiking and blooming wildflowers in areas like Mount Hood.
