Millévin Featured in
Winemakers, merchants, guilds, and followers of the good mood meet in Avignon to celebrate the arrival of the new vintage of the Rhône valley which is among the oldest winemaking regions in the country. Millévin is a festival of great food and excellent wine. Around 30 winemakers with stands in the town squares offer wine tastings and delicacies like meat and cheese plates, Aligot, and oysters. Some of the restaurants will even present you a free glass of Côtes du Rhône with your meal. The celebration continues with a parade of Brotherhoods through the center of Avignon. And all this is accompanied by great music and a friendly atmosphere.
It is usually celebrated on the third Thursday of November.
