Kayaking, Paddling, and Canoeing on the Potomac Featured in
If you visit Washington in the summer, spending half a day on the water is an excellent idea. There are plenty of rentals downtown like the Key Bridge Boathouse or the Thompson Boat Center with hourly rates. Kayaking, canoeing, and stand-up paddleboarding is a great workout and a chance to see Washington's famous landmarks and neighbourhoods from an unusual angle. The rentals usually operate from early April to late October.
