Though Slovenia has a really tiny coastline which is just 47 kilometers long, it’s still really beautiful and has a lot to offer. Every year, a few beaches are awarded the Blue Flag label meaning that the quality of water and sand, as well as provided servises, is on a high level.
Great for beach relaxation are the beaches of Portorož with its white sand, blue waters, and many restaurants which offer the best Mediterranean cuisine and fresh seafood.
The beach of the neighbouring Piran is also a great getaway spot, though its coast is cleanly paved in concrete but still very comfortable for beachgoers.
Mesečev Zaliv Beach is often called the hidden gem of the Slovenian coastline—it is hard to access, but the result is totally worth it—it is an unfrequented beach with unique flora and clean sand. Strunjan Cliffs, which are accessible from the Strunjan Landscape Park, dominate over Mesečev Zaliv beach for an incredible view.
