The best time to visit Bangkok kicks off in late October–November. Visitors can participate in beautiful lantern festival Loi Krathong or head to Lopburi Monkey Banquet Festival. The dry season continues until February, so winter months are perfect for cycling, boating, and exploring floating markets. Spring is hot both in terms of weather and events. Songkran celebrations in mid-April draw crowds, and in May you can see the Royal Ploughing Ceremony that kicks off the rice-growing season. In late spring, longan, mango, and lychee are in season. From May to October, expect southwest monsoons that bring rains and lower prices.
